Jonathan: a dear, kind, funny and considerate friend. A gentle man. Thank you for all you did for the children whose learning and welfare was your concern, and for the joy and lightness you brought to colleagues. Thank you for showing us the strength of true modesty

Working together invigilating at Wymondham College we had many discussions and much badinage. You reminded me that the students thought you were the nicest invigilator - no discussion needed with that! Great guy, great memories.

Jonathan was a good friend and running buddy back in the day. Humble & unassuming until he put on a running vest. If you trained with him you'll know what I mean! Respect. We often ran a 15 mile out and back solving the problems of the world on the warm up and on the return in the red zone, shoulder to shoulder. I'd listen to his breathing and think he was ready to crack. No chance, in fact he would always find another gear and take me to the cleaners. Such fond memories.
